Each time I start feeling that itchy sensation in the back of my throat, I know for a fact that the sickness is well on it's way. I use this recipe each time to catch it and kill it early. It has worked wonders for me.
Instructions
- 1 peeled grapefruit (complete fruit with white skin)
- 1 peeled orange (complete fruit with white skin)
- 2 peeled lemons (complete fruit with white skin)
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Filtered water
- Blend to a nice smoothie
For Headaches
For Headaches
Each time I have a headache, I use this remedy and it literally kills the pain almost instantly. There's something about combining lemon and salt that acts as an ultimate hydrator and thirst quencher. Salt also acts as an H2O absorber within the body. Most of my headaches have been cured by using this remedy. Try it out next time you have a headache!
Instructions
- Squeeze 2 lemons into a cup
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
- Mix it up
- Drink it like a shot
- 2-3 times a day (if headache persists)
Homemade Cough Syrup

Each time I have a cold or sore throat, I eat a bunch of garlic and onions. This here is a combo of those two, infused in honey, and cooled in the fridge for 24 hrs. Based off experience, this bundle of cold killing ingredients acted as an immune booster – only sick for about 2-3 days, when taking spoon-fulls throughout the day.
Instructions
- 1 whole onion (chopped)
- Chopped garlic
- Add to mason jar
- Add honey to fill 3/4 of mason jar
- Place in fridge for 24 hrs
- Take 4-5 teaspoons throughout the day

I've lost count on how many times I've created this tea. Lemon, ginger, and honey is the best thing to take when having a sore throat or when suffering with from a cold – speaking from experience here… This homemade tea has saved me many times from being sick for weeks, cutting it down to only 2-3 days. I also love to drink this tea even when I'm not sick, for preventative care.
Instructions
- Cut ginger with skin – 1 cup
- Cut up 2 lemons with skin
- Boil in water
- Pour in cup, then add honey
- Can also add sage leafs
“Potent Fruit Medicine Extraction”
Acidic Fruit Nutrient Extraction
This recipe was passed on to me by my momma, since she knows best, there's no denying that this concoction has aided me when in need of a quick immune booster.
Notes
What you need:
- 3 organic grapefruits
- 3 organic lemons
- Filtered water
- 3 hours of your time
Steps:
- Peel all of the fruit and place peels into pot
- Add water until peels are fully submerged
- Bring water to a boil at medium/high, then bring to low and let simmer for 3 hours. No need to stir.
- Poor in a glass jar. Keep in fridge for up to 6 months.
- Take a drink daily.
What this is good for:
- Antimicrobial
- Anti-fungal
- Vitamin C
- Immune booster
- Concentrated extraction of minerals + vitamins

Okay this one is probably weird for some of you… Especially those who are vampires right? Oh wait a sec… it's garlic that vampires dislike, not onions – oh well, I'll edit this out later. Anyways this remedy might be a folks tale but if you believe that it works, who's to say it isn't true?
Instructions
- Cut onion in half
- Place in bowl
- Place it near your bed while you sleep

Ah the wet sock method… This one has to be one of my favorite naturopathic & hydrotherapy cold/flu remedies I have ever heard of – ok some of you might say Tylenol or Advil.. but seriously, this one acts as a true helper when you're sick. How does it work you might say? it's truly fascinating.. So it basically acts as an immune system stimulater, by wearing the pair of wet socks, your body reacts to the cold socks and focuses on warming up your feet by increasing blood circulation – when this happens, your immune system is also stimulated. Ok there's way more to this than meets the eye, so here's a bunch of articles I found on the web, you can also do your own research… But based off personal experience, I've done this method over 20 times and I literally feel like a new man the day after. Instructions
- 1 pair of 100% cotton socks (mid to low calf)
- 1 pair of 100% wool socks
- Make sure your feet are warm prior – shower or bath will do
- Dry up after your shower or bath
- Dip those cotton socks into cold water that has ice in it
- Mix them around for a bit, pull them out, then squeeze dry them a couple time
- Make sure you've squeezed most of the water out from the cold wet socks
- Put those wet socks on, then also add the wool socks over the wet cotton socks. Then bed time…
- Keep those socks on the entire night… By the time you wake up in the morning, the socks will be completely dry and warm
- You can repeat this remedy consecutively for as many days as you need
