WATERMELON: FUN FACTS
- STAY HYDRATED! Watermelon is made up of 92% water, which aids in hydration for your entire body. Who doesn’t like feeling good? I sure do!
- A NUTRIENT GALOUR FRUIT. Watermelon is comprised of so many beneficial nutrients such as Vitamin C and antioxidants! Watermelon produces a pigment called Lycopene, which is what gives watermelons that super vibrant red color, and it’s also a pretty powerful antioxidant.
- LOW IN CALORIES! For anyone who is tracking their calorie intake or wants to reduce the amount of calories they eat in a day, watermelon is such a great option! 1 cup of watermelon provides only 47 calories, which is super low! Also since watermelon is mostly made up of water, it fills you up quick!

HOW YOU CAN MAKE THIS WATERMELON SORBET
You’ll need a high-powered blender (I used a Vitamix) to make this, but you can also use a nutribullet, which I’ll explain how.
- Add sliced frozen watermelon in freezer. You’ll need at least 3 cups. I like to freeze overnight
- Once frozen, place them aside and let them thaw for 13-15 minutes
- Toss them in blender
- Add lime juice
- Add mint leaves (optional)
- If you have a Vitamix, blend and push everything down with tamper, until smooth.
- If you have a Nutribullet, blend then push everything down with a spatula or spoon.
- Scoop it into a bowl then add toppings of choice
