This one right here is the breakfast of champs, with this high protein, gluten-free baked oats, every bite will have you feeling nourished and energized. It’s super easy to make, and the ingredients used are super healthy and filling.

INGREDIENTS

To make this lave cake action-packed with protein but also have that chocolaty taste, I added organic cacao powder, cacao nibs, pea protein, Macca powder, and chia seeds. Here’s everything I added:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 scoop of protein powder (I use plant-based pea protein)
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp Macca powder
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp date syrup (or honey, agave)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of sea salt
  • cacao nibs for topping!

HOW YOU CAN MAKE THIS LAVA CAKE!

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F
  2. Blend all of the ingredients together (except for the cacao nibs)
  3. Transfer ingredients to an oven safe bowl
  4. Place cacao nibs on top of blend
  5. Bake in oven for 17 minutes
  6. It gets hot! Be careful when taking out of the oven!

Frank Romano
Felt like having a high-protein breakfast that involved oats and chocolate! So I made this version of lava cake baked oats. It's super easy to make, I just blended all ingredients together, then tossed it in the oven at 400F for 17 minutes. Then devoured it!
